There's no better way to grow the Convention of States movement in your state than a letter to the editor campaign. Letters to the editor are a fantastic way to spread the word about this last, best chance to preserve liberty in our country.
Here's one example from Steve Boesen, published in the The Des Moines Register:
Our U.S. Constitution was designed for the purpose being a strong restraint on the federal government and to protect the unalienable liberties defined in the Declaration of Independence. These liberties have been under assault since the days of Theodore Roosevelt to the clearly out-of-control federal government of today.
Congress has become an unaccountable oligarchy, often forcing the states to relinquish their constitutional rights in violation of the 10th Amendment. The executive branch is illegally and consistently issuing executive orders that circumvent the Constitution, is unwilling to enforce national sovereignty by securing our borders and has also become unaccountable to the majority of the American people. The Supreme Court has allowed ideology to cloud its interpretation of the Constitution, failing to be the check on the other branches it was designed to be.
The only peaceful solution to restoring the federal government to its constitutional limitations and restoring the rights of "we the people" is to use the remedy the Founders included in the Constitution itself. Article V clearly lays out the path to conducting a national convention. Given the dire circumstances we find our country in today, your state senator and representatives have no more important priority than to draw up a convention of states application to Congress. This is not a partisan issue; this is an American issue.
I urge you to get involved by joining the national convention of states movement. It is led by the founder/leader of the extremely successful Homeschool Legal Defense Association who is also the pre-eminent legal expert on Article V.
State legislatures swear a sacred oath to uphold the Constitution and are obligated to defend the rights of the people. Hold them accountable to their oaths.

Steve does a great job explaining the problems our country faces and the solution provided by Article V. And you can do it too! In the Citizen's Toolkit, we've provided instructions on how to write a letter to the editor as well as sample letters you can use as templates. Thanks for all your hard work. We're looking forward to a great year for the Convention of States Project.
