On Tuesday, November 27, members of the COS Delaware team gathered to discuss the Convention of States Project, and why volunteers are needed to help. Fifteen COS supporters attended the meeting at Brandywine Hundred Library in New Castle County.
Grassroots Coordinator Al Paoli led the discussion, and was joined by Regional Director, Monica Sellers. One of the key topics discussed was the responsibilities of the District Captain role, such as helping to recruit and welcome new volunteers. District Captains are also responsible for:- Educating friends, family, and others members of the district about Article V and Convention of States.
- Developing relationships with new supporters in the District.
- Meeting with the state legislators representing the district to lobby for their support.
District Captains are essential to the success of COS. There are plenty of opportunities available in Delaware, so if you are interested in applying to be a District Captain, please click here.
Be sure to be on the lookout, because more meetings are to come as we continue to work toward adding Delaware to the growing list of states calling for an Article V Convention!
