Close your eyes and think of going back in time to the year 1984. It is the era of doublespeak. At least according to George Orwell, author of 1984 published in 1949 during the rise of world-wide Communism.
Doublespeak is the language of opposites. Up is down and down is up. Boy is girl. Right is wrong. “War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength,” Orwell wrote. Doublespeak is derived from two Orwellian words “doublethink” and “newspeak.”
Doublethink is when a person accepts without question two mutually contradictory thoughts as correct without being aware or troubled by the glaring contradiction between them. Doublethink statements like “war is peace,” “freedom is slavery,” and “ignorance is strength” are accepted without discomfort.
Newspeak is a method of controlling thought through language - it is the language of fake news. Peaceful protests are reported when blazing fires are seen behind a reporter. When Barack Obama promised “fundamental change,” he was speaking of breaking down a constitutional Republic into pure socialism. White heterosexual men are necessarily racists, misogynists, homophobic bigots or whatever other slur you want to use.
Doublespeak combines doublethink and newspeak in language that deliberately obscures, distorts, disguises, or reverses the meaning of words to manipulate public opinion in a mass social engineering effort. Orwellian double-speak is the language of the hard Left leading a coup against Western democracies and their national sovereignty.
Remember Obama’s hope and change? Obama deliberately obscured and disguised his hope for changing American democracy into socialism. Most Americans understood hope and change to mean a better life and the realization of the American dream - a hope to improve our democracy not to destroy it. Yet it was simply Obama’s doublethink propaganda. His hope and change was really a ruse.
Wokism and cancel culture are a way to alienate those who don't agree with the woke narrative. To make it so you, and everything that went into making you who you are, never existed. If the state says history didn't exist, then it doesn't.
The most effective way to destroy people is to deny and obliterate their own understanding of their history...
The past was erased, the erasure was forgotten, the lie became the truth. Who controls the past controls the future...
Who controls the present controls the past.
― George Orwell, 1984
Well, time travel is not possible, and it isn’t 1984. It is 2021 and Orwellianism is now! Our constitutional republic is steadily and quickly declining to a socialist state. Nazi Germany, Communist USSR, and Communist China didn’t become so overnight.
Their people were controlled by government overreach, lies, and a complacent press. Their education, entertainment, and broader culture were infiltrated early to indoctrinate those who would grow to be pawns of the socialist regimes.
Are we going to allow those whose ideas have been proven wrong throughout history to fundamentally change our constitutional system and trample our right to liberty? Are we going to stand idly by like the German, Soviet, and Chinese people did, while their power hungry leaders led them into mind-numbing, institutional slavery? We need to act NOW!
However much you deny the truth, the truth goes on existing.
― George Orwell
Citizens concerned for the future of our nation--with our looming federal government that's increasingly bloated, corrupt, reckless, and invasive--have a constitutional option.
