Assemblywoman Handlin Agrees to Co-Sponsor COS Application

Published in Blog on November 12, 2018 by Jonathan Viaud

Assemblywoman Amy Handlin (NJ-13) is the latest New Jersey legislator to co-sponsor the COS Application in the New Jersey Assembly! District Captain Tara Fleming sat down to discuss the news with State Director Jonathan Viaud. Watch below!

Great job, Tara! Assemblywoman Handlin is now the 19th New Jersey legislator to sponsor the COS application! Please contact her office to thank her by calling (732) 383-7820. You can also e-mail Assemblywoman Handlin your thanks by clicking here.

The COS application states that a convention will be called "for the limited purpose of proposing amendments to the Constitution of the United States that impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government, and limit the terms of office for its officials and for members of Congress."

You can view the Assembly resolution, ACR 73, in its entirety by visiting the legislature website here. It also provides a list of all the sponsors and co-sponsors of our application in the Assembly. For a list of the sponsors and co-sponsors in the Senate, click here.

Finally, if you're interested in joining us for the event with Mark Meckler on Monday, November 26, you can register here. Admission is completely free, but space is limited!

The COS New Jersey team is making incredible progress, but we cannot do it alone. As you can see from Tara's story, it doesn't take much for you to make a difference! Please consider volunteering as a state leader, and help us to add New Jersey to the growing list of states calling for an Article V Convention!
