It's alarming to watch the Corporate State exercise its ability to remove the President--or anyone whose views do not agree with socialist viewpoint--from their platforms.
The power of the Corporate State to decide who is allowed to make their views known in the public square of electronic medium is alarming. My thoughts turned to Pastor Niemoeller, a pastor in Germany in the 1930s.
The pastor initially supported the Nazis, whose worldview did not particularly deviate from the Germans as a whole. He became a critic only when the Nazis broke their promise to leave the Church and Christianity alone. The German secret police wiretapped Pastor Niemoeller’s phone to gather evidence against him.
Surprisingly he was found innocent by a German court of treason but was sent to concentration camp anyway by order of Hitler. He remained in various camps from 1937 to 1945. The quote that he is famous for is displayed at the entrance of the Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C.
“First they came for the communists and I did not speak out because I was not a communist.”
“Then they came for the trade unionists and I did not speak out because I was not a trade unionist.”
“Then they came for the Jews and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew.”
“Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak for me.”
The lesson here is of the dangers of indifference. As we enter the new decade, we must not become indifferent to the plight of others. We cannot be indifferent to the abuses of the Corporate State.
The Convention of States movement must continually recruit and educate to insure free people govern our country and not the unelected bureaucrats.
The Convention of States is not a movement for the faint of heart. It is a collective effort that includes communities, neighbors, and friends. We lead by example and urge our friends and neighbors to join us. By educating and supporting the effort, we effect a return to "a more perfect union."
As a member of the Convention of States, the commitment has been made to speak out now.
