Amendment III Revisited

Published in Blog on September 15, 2022 by LeRoy E Cossette

Article III To The Constitution

“No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.”

This Amendment could now be deemed out of date as America’s military forces are very well funded, providing for all of a soldier’s housing, clothing, and food requirements.

However, there was no mention of not housing Marines.

We all know that Marines are “The Few, The Brave, and the Proud” who are fine upstanding individuals who would certainly be welcomed in any American household.

Given the rigorous lifestyle of Marines, I am quite sure that any Marine would gladly accept the invitation of any resident living at a nearby Marine Corps base.

Just saying.
