First, your Convention of States New York team would like to thank everyone who contributed to our record-breaking year. We did more events, more presentations, and received more petitions signatures than ever before!
From Buffalo to New York City, your COS New York team was out doing events, recruiting grassroots, presenting Article V to varied organizations, and getting to know our supporters on a one-on-one basis.
We started the year off with a Surge Day in Albany, sitting down with state representatives to discuss how Article V is not only something their constituents want, but it's also a way to stop the expansion of the federal government and bring back the power to New York.
From there, several of our team members presented our cause to organizations across the state, recruiting volunteers as they went. We spread the word to all who were willing to lend an ear.
Your team also spent some time in Williamsburg, Virginia, at the national Leadership Summit. We shared ideas with like-minded, dedicated individuals from every state of the Union. Here, our wonderful State Director, Lois Alimonti, received the coveted Challenge Coin for her tireless work!
We were honored by the likes of Sen. Tom Coburn, historian David Barton, Pete Hegseth, and the Great One himself: Mark Levin. Their words inspired us to hit the ground running when we returned home!
And hit the ground we did! First we participated in the Richmond County Fair, then the Syracuse Gun Show, Oktoberfest, the Oneonta Gun and Knife Show, and finally Patriot Fest!
We spoke to patriots wherever we were, bringing the Article V movement into the light of day for some, reaffirming our constitutional rights to others. No matter what part of the state we were in, the wonderful people of New York were there to sign the petition and volunteer.
We could not do this with out our wonderful supporters here in New York State. Your COS New York team is looking forward to our next legislative session and all the opportunities we will have to meet with supporters and volunteers across the state.
