A $7B Jolting (Joking) Result!

Published in Blog on December 21, 2024 by John A Luce

What a sign of incompetence or worse.

This is another factually checked story that is beginning to sound a bit like a broken record.
Yes, we seem to be repeating similar stories of egregious, wasteful, highly incompetent & terribly inefficient federal government policies or programs.
Why?
They emerge daily.
Some have been hidden or never received much media attention.
These consistent failures are symptomatic of a serious decline of this great nation, as our federal government has grown far too large, bloated, unresponsive and wide open to internal and external abuse (contractual gouging) and fraud. Such repetitive bungling and mismanagement are disheartening and fiscally ruinous.

Here we see this example:
$7 Billion committed - how much of which was spent unknown to us- following two years - with literally almost nothing to show for it!
What happened?
"Hey you all in Washington DC:
That’s OUR MONEY!!”
This is where many of us have fallen short and are now just awakening. For far too long, we’ve been gaslit, passive or resigned to such cavalier spendthrift behavior by our civil servants - both elected and unelected.

Clearly, We The People are not being properly represented; we are taken for granted or teated as an afterthought - with zero accountability.

Here is yet another example about wildly wasteful program that is 6 times larger in scope than this one:
$42.5B USD allocated 3 years ago .. without any sign of progress:
"Residents in rural America are eager to access high-speed internet under a $42.5 billion federal modernization program, but not a single home or business has been connected to new broadband networks nearly three years after President Biden signed the funding into law, and no project will break ground until sometime next year.” Source: Washington Times (June 2023)
This is agonizing to watch, as so many Americans are living paycheck to paycheck, or social security check to social security check; many who suffer from the latest Southeastern storms and remain homeless & have yet be assisted, while significant funds are available to be spent offshore. We can analyze those programs as well to see how inefficient and graft-ridden they may likely be.

Efficiency is in great demand here and now for Americans in need! Our once great public transportation and basic infrastructure now pale in comparison with many other countries.
Slow moving, red-tape laden bureaucracies need replacing or an overhaul at the very least to bring back our country’s famous “can do” spirit to accomplish whatever we set out to do.
An effective means of restraining the DC Leviathan calls for structural changes through applying the amendment process that our Founders thoughtfully gave us in the Constitution - a provision that all who attended that most remarkable Convention in Philadelphia passed unanimously.

Article V, Section Two outlines a clear method that we can implement to address these excesses such as this enormously wasteful outcome.
