This is a rhyme of mine,
This is how I spend my time.
Throughout the day, I try to practice implementing Self Governance in every way.
I blend the nutritious kefir smoothie with fruits and vegetables in morning without being asked,
Because I know it’s one of my tasks.
After the morning smoothies are consumed,
I know I must get around and zoom.
Washing the dishes with certainty and care,
Ensures the scraps on the dishes are no longer there.
Then, I take care of the animals without being asked,
Because I know it’s another one of my tasks.
I spend most of my day doing schoolwork, reading books, taking notes, doing math, typing outlines and papers, learning to read sheet music, and doing science.
This shows I am mostly self-reliant!
Near the end of the day, I take care of the animals by feeding my dog her dinner.
When others want to do wrong, I say,
No thanks, no way, not today.
Let’s stop doing something that is bad, that’s dead.
Let’s do something that’s a better choice, that we can all agree upon instead!
I help my Mom prepare dinner for us,
Then we eat and I wash the dishes.
I take care of my teeth every day,
To keep teeth clean and prevent tooth decay.
These are my tasks,
Gaining more responsibility by doing most of them without being asked.
I am not a perfect person, but I do my best,
To do what is expected of me and not be a pest.
I choose to eat nutritious food every day,
To stay healthy and keep sickness away.
This is my way,
Of implementing Self Governance each day.
