Almost 200 interested citizens attended the COS Town Hall in Clinton Township on August 26th, including on Facebook Live (146 on-site and 30 online).
They listened intently to the slide show and presentation before asking forceful questions of Grassroots Coordinator, Bill Pacey, and new District Captain, Jeff Williamson.
State Content Coordinator, Michele Haroon, broadcast the meeting on Facebook Live, as well as recording it. To view the meeting on Facebook, click here. Click here to view on Rumble.
Over 20 new petition signatures were gathered.
The Michigan team is doing about one Town Hall per week in its effort to make Michigan the 16th state to pass the Article V resolution, currently in the Michigan House of Representatives as "HJR-E."
Over and over, Representatives have told us how much they appreciate and remember hand-written notes and phone calls. Click here today to find your rep's contact info and call them and 'snail mail' them a hand-written note telling them to support HJR-E. If you're unsure of wording to use, contact michele.haroon@cosaction.com or william.pacey@cosaction.com for help.
Other grassroots citizen organizations mentioned who were simultaneously meeting elsewhere included WE THE COUNTY, working on citizen involvement in school boards across the country. Representatives from Turning Point, the Charlie Kirk national student organization, were in attendance at the Clinton Twp town hall as well.
Chris Gadfrey of Wayne State, pictured below on the right, talked about finding hundreds more "secretly" conservative students at Wayne State after thinking he was the only one. They routinely express their surprise and gratitude to him because they had thought they were the 'only' (conservative) ones too!
Jeff's young daughter helped lead the Pledge of Allegiance and his wife Janette ran the camera. In addition, Janet Rajcevski, of the State Leadership team, Kurt O'Keefe, Legislative Liaison, and several District Captains, including Zach Basler, Katie Jehl, and Kathleen O'Laughlin, and future District Captain, Kathie Grant, and her sister, Denise, attended and assisted. We appreciate everyone's presence and assistance!
Bill and Jeff passionately delivered the Convention of States message that we can create an army of grassroots activists and take back control of our country and our lives.
Click here to learn how you can become more involved too. COS especially needs District Captains (2 hour a week time commitment) but any contribution of time - whether small or large - makes a difference in saving our beloved country. Make a difference today.
