Majority Blame Biden For Divided America
Vast Majority of Independents and Republicans Blame Biden, While Democrats Say Biden Not to Blame
(Austin, TX—November 30, 2021) Convention of States Action, in partnership with The Trafalgar Group—one of America’s most accurate pollsters in 2016, 2018, 2020, and 2021—is releasing the results of a new national survey. Results were from surveys conducted November 13th through November 16th of over 1,000 likely 2022 election voters.
“President Biden came to office promising a new era of American unity, and he has fulfilled that promise,” said Mark Meckler, President of Convention of States Action. “Joe Biden has brought together a coalition of Independents, Republicans, and Democrats, united in their disdain for his policies. And now, a majority also believe he is responsible for stoking divisions in our nation. Leadership requires doing things and saying things that bring people together toward a common goal, not toward a common peril.”

KEY INSIGHT: Majority of American Voters Say Biden to Blame for Divisions in America:
- 54.2 percent of American voters believe President Biden is responsible for the divisions in the American people.
- 39.4 percent say very responsible
- 14.8 percent say somewhat responsible
- 45.8 percent of American voters believe President Biden is not responsible for the divisions in the American people.
- 33.2 percent say not responsible at all
- 12.6 percent say not very responsible
KEY INSIGHT: Vast Majority of Independents and Republicans Say Biden is to Blame for Divisions in American People, Democrats say Biden Not to Blame:
- 64.1 percent of Independent voters believe President Biden is responsible for the divisions in the American people. 35.9 percent believe Biden not to blame.
- 88 percent of Republican voters believe President Biden is responsible for the divisions in the American people. 12 percent believe Biden not to blame.
- 21.3 percent of Democrat voters believe President Biden is responsible for the divisions in the American people. 78.7 percent believe Biden not to blame.
