1. Pennsylvania Senate Committee PASSES COS Resolution
Convention of States Action is thrilled to announce a decisive victory in the Pennsylvania Senate State Government Committee, which passed S.R. 77, the COS Article V application, on Tuesday. The committee voted 6-5 in favor of the resolution, marking a groundbreaking milestone after countless hours of grassroots lobbying in the state.
2. Florida celebrates petition milestone
The Sunshine State celebrated the tenth anniversary of becoming the third state in history to pass the Convention of States resolution, crossing the 200,000 petition signers threshold.
3. Former U.S. Congressperson Endorses Convention of States
Convention of States Action is proud to announce former New Mexico Congresswoman Yvette Herrell has formally endorsed the Convention of States grassroots movement, recognizing it as perhaps the last best hope for curbing the power of Washington, D.C.
“The federal government has grown far beyond its original design: spending too much, regulating too much, and taking more and more power away from the states,” she affirmed.
4. COS grassroots celebrate THREE groundbreaking victories
Convention of States supporters in Tennessee, Georgia, and Oklahoma celebrated three major victories last week pertaining to hot-button topics, including school choice, parental rights, and ranked choice voting.
