Carrying the Torch of Liberty

By Robin Sampson-McCarthy

“Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.”

Jeremiah 29:7 carries a powerful message about civic responsibility and the importance of actively contributing to the well-being of one’s community, even in challenging circumstances.

Joe’s Promise - One You Can Truly Count On

By Dana Ives

In 2017 (back in the “good ol’ days” Hah!), during the Trump administration, a major overhaul of the tax code occurred that led to the enactment of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA). Overall, provisions of the act reduced the taxes for middle-income taxpayers. Despite leftist assertions that the TCJA was a gift to the wealthy and big corporations, the TCJA was, in fact, a boon to the middle-class and small business operators & startups.

Cherishing the Unborn

By Robin Sampson-McCarthy

At the crux of the abortion debate lies a fundamental question: Is the unborn child a human being? If yes, human and divine laws demand protection for these nascent lives. In the United States alone, over 900,000 abortions are performed each year; according to the CDC, a staggering loss of human life if we affirm the unborn's humanity. Conversely, if the unborn are not human, they warrant no more moral consideration than removed appendixes or clipped nails.

Lessons from the Convention of States Simulation

By Robin Sampson-McCarthy

In an exhilarating leap forward for democracy, enthusiasts of the Convention of States movement rallied together for a simulated convention that might go down in history. This simulation wasn’t just an event; it was a vibrant rehearsal for what could become a pivotal chapter in American governance, offering a sneak peek into the potential of an actual Article V convention. The energy was palpable, and the outcomes were nothing short of inspiring.

Key Highlights:
1. Rule-Oriented Success: The simulation showcased precision and orderliness. Delegates demonstrated an exemplary commitment to following established rules, proving that discipline and respect for protocol can pave the way for a successful Convention of States.

Engaging the Homeschool Community

A Powerful Strategy for the Convention of States Movement

By Robin Sampson-McCarthy

As the Convention of States movement continues to gain momentum, we must focus our efforts on gaining the support of state representatives nationwide. To achieve this goal, we must first engage and educate as many eligible voting citizens as possible about the importance of our cause. One of the most promising audiences for this message is the homeschool community.

Answers to Common Objections

We have no idea how a Convention would work because Article V doesn’t tell us.

Did You Know...

"A convention for proposing amendments is a gathering traditionally called a 'convention of the states' or 'convention of states.' The protocols applying to such meetings, both before and after the Founding, tell us much about how a convention for proposing amendments will work. There have been more than forty gatherings of this type, the first a convention of colonies in Albany, New York in 1677 and the latest a convention of states in Phoenix, Arizona in 2017." --Robert G. Natelson, The Law of Article V
