Your Idaho Legislators Need to Hear from You

Your Idaho representatives and senators need to hear from you right now. Today if possible. Tomorrow at the latest.

As you know the Convention of States is the only Article V application that can solve the true problem of the massive abuse of power by the federal government. COS can restore federalism and limit federal power. And it is the only one that can do this to protect our freedom.

There are two other messages that are prominent in the Idaho legislature.

1. There is a lot of fear-mongering about the potential of a runaway convention. We have answered this repeatedly on multiple levels. The realistic fear is that the federal government will continue to abuse its power. There is no legal, historical, or valid political reason to fear a meeting of states to limit federal power.

2. There are those who only want to do a Balanced Budget Amendment. A Balanced Budget Amendment (BBA) cannot guarantee taxing limits or spending limits. Real spending limits cannot be a mere percentage of our national economy. True limits come from cutting back federal jurisdiction.

Why We Need More than a Balanced Budget Amendment

The COS application allows for all three—a Balanced Budget, Spending Limits, and Tax Limits. Plus we can restore federalism, stop judicial abuses, and stop the president from legislating. 

We need you to call YOUR own senator and representative today or tomorrow.

Please support the Convention of States. A Balanced Budget Amendment is good but not enough. We must stop the federal abuse of power with the solution the Founders gave us in Article V.
