You've probably already seen it on social media.
Veteran and Purple Heart recipient Brian Kolfage started a GoFundMe campaign to raise money to build a wall on our southern border. In the four days since the fundraiser went live, nearly 200,000 people have donated over $11,000,000.
That's well short of the necessary $5 billion needed to fund the project, but it's a powerful start.
Whatever you think of the President's plan to build a border well, Kolfage's campaign proves that the American people are ready and willing to solve their own problems.
We the People don't need the federal government taking care of our every need. Our country was founded by everyday men and women who decided to stand up for self-governance. Clearly, that spirit is still alive and well today.
That's probably why millions of Americans have joined the movement to call an Article V Convention of States. A Convention of States can propose constitutional amendments that transfer power from D.C. to the people.
These amendments can limit the authority of federal agencies as well as the jurisdiction of Congress. If Congress can't legislate on a particular issue (healthcare, education, etc), those decisions will be moved back where they belong: with the people and the states.
