Volunteers are the backbone of Convention of States

Published in Blog on December 04, 2019 by Joan McDermott

Do you have an hour a day, an hour a week, an hour a month, or an hour a year to help return the power back to the American people?

If the answer is yes, we have a role for you. If we each do our part, we will achieve our goal of developing an educated and activated citizenry and calling a Convention of States.

Often, the only way to find out if you are a good fit for a task is to put a toe in the water. The pool is ready and open!

We've recently added a new course to COS University to help our volunteers. Volunteering 100 will cover many topics, including but not limited to:

  • A visual introduction to our website and its educational resources
  • How to connect with your state's team
  • How to spread the word about the Convention of States in person and on social media
  • How to navigate your state legislature's websites
  • How to engage and influence your local governmental entities

In order to sign up for this class, you will need to confirm your email address. You will receive an email with a confirmation link. Then you can register for this very informative course.

Take the time to check out the other courses available. These courses are free and do not require you take on a specific role within the organization.

However, we hope you will consider taking that next step in activism and visit our Take Action page to learn about the roles available. Together, we can do this!
