The Utah Senate just issued a wakeup call to Congress, passing the Convention of States resolution with a final vote of 16-12!
If the UT House follows suit, Utah will officially become state #14 to join our movement.
Today’s historic victory is particularly noteworthy, because in the past, the Utah Senate has stood in staunch opposition to our cause.
But after years of hard work, our team on the ground won the day, generating a groundswell of grassroots support. Their hard work proves that, with persistence, average American patriots can have a real impact at the state level.
"The grassroots in Utah and around the country are very excited that the Utah Senate passed the COS resolution today," said Convention of States Action President Mark Meckler. "We owe a debt of gratitude to the great grassroots, and to tremendous leadership by Sen. Vickers and Sen. President Adams, both long term COS supporters. Now it’s on to the House, where we also have great leadership in support of the resolution. We’re looking forward to making Utah, state number 14."
With the strength of the Senate now behind us, we are hopeful for our prospects of passing in the House -- making Utah state #14 to send an eviction notice to corrupt politicians in Washington, D.C.
Momentum is on our side. Now is the time to double down on our efforts and secure the votes needed for victory.
