Unsung heroes and their unsung stories

Published in Blog on June 10, 2025 by Jakob Fay

The legacy media isn’t very reliable — but it is reliably focused on all the wrong things.

The unfortunate decline of local news at the hands of a few media conglomerates means we’re all talking about what happens in Washington rather than what happens in our hometowns. Local heroes and grassroots-led efforts to salvage the Constitution and restore federalism have been overshadowed by the D.C. circus and its constant shenanigans.

No wonder Americans feel so discouraged. They know they want to do something — but what?

As a grassroots member of the Convention of States movement, you know perfectly well that the solution is an Article V convention.

Moreover, you have the opportunity to step up as a boots-on-the-ground “citizen reporter” to inspire your communities with stories about the many ongoing efforts in your area to limit the size and scope of the federal government.

The mainstream media certainly won’t talk about it. It’s up to you.

Summertime is a popular season amongst our supporters and activists for outreach events to spread the word about COS. These are the kinds of stories that have the potential to inspire millions. We encourage you to work with your state team to publish summer event blog recaps and share photos from these events in the COS Grassroots Gallery.

Your fellow citizens deserve to know they aren’t alone; the COS grassroots army is working tirelessly to protect our liberty. Raise your voice and tell your story to return the spotlight to We the People.
