Americans will be paying just a little more for their Thanksgiving feast this year, courtesy of the Biden administration's terrible economic policies.
The Farm Bureau reported today that the food for Thanksgiving festivities will cost Americans about 14% more than it did last year.
Farm Bureau’s 36th annual survey indicates the average cost of this year’s classic Thanksgiving feast for 10 is $53.31 or less than $6.00 per person. This is a $6.41 or 14% increase from last year’s average of $46.90.
That might not sound like much, but that $6.41 represents yet another way the federal government is making our lives worse.
Policies that poured money into an already-recovering economy have resulted in a labor and product shortage the likes of which we haven't seen in a decade. Those shortages, plus the free money Biden sent to all Americans no matter their level of need, has directly resulted in the worst inflationary spike since November 1990.
It's one thing for a natural disaster to create a shortage of good and supplies. It's another thing for our hardships to be foisted on us by our own government.
We're shooting ourselves in the foot, but the Washington "elites" don't feel the pain. They're comfortable and happy in their taxpayer-funded apartments buying their taxpayer-funded food and driving to their fancy offices in their taxpayer-funded cars. They don't feel the pocketbook pinch we're feeling, so they ignore and blame others for the rising prices.
Enough is enough. If you're tired of the federal government ruining our country and making us foot the bill, you've come to the right place.
An Article V Convention of States is called and controlled by the states and has the power to propose constitutional amendments that limit Washington's ability to ruin our economy. These amendments can shrink federal jurisdiction and limit their power to impose financial regulations and "controls."
Amendments can also force Congress to balance the budget without raising taxes, which would prohibit them from wasting our money on useless government handouts.
We've lost control of our country. To get it back, we must assert the power the Founders gave us in Article V of the Constitution. To take a stand today, sign the Convention of States Petition below!
