Listening as One, Moving as Many

As I began writing this article, Nashville was less than a day into the search and rescue efforts following an F-3 tornado that ravaged our state and her people.

I watched the track of the storms, along with countless others in the wee hours of the morning. I heard the tornado sirens alert my neighborhood that we were in imminent danger from strong storm lines moving through our city. I heard the newscasters say they suspected a tornado on the ground. Read the article here.

Leadership News at the State Level

With sadness, we recently learned of the resignation of our former State Director, Greg Clements. While he will no longer serve as State Director, Greg intends to stay active with COS and will continue to serve as needed in informing and growing our grassroots army in Tennessee and beyond. A heartfelt thanks to Greg for his great leadership of the Tennessee grassroots.

Our State Grassroots Coordinator Lyle Hill and State Communications Coordinator Toni Clay will both be serving in the State Director position going forward. No doubt, it will require four shoes to fill Greg's two.

We also welcome back Stokes Neilson to our team as Legislative Liaison, Central. Stokes was part of the Tennessee team before taking a brief leave. We are delighted that he and Jim Gosney (Legislative Liaison, West) will be working to build stronger relationships and communication with our Legislative Representatives here in Tennessee.

Have You Heard?

We are introducing a new section featuring newsworthy items we believe are of interest to you. Topics will directly relate to you within the context of informed self-governance. Please reach out to us with any items you feel we should cover in the interest of informing our Tennessee grassroots army.

The most powerful citizenry is an informed citizenry. We look forward to hearing from you with ideas and concerns you'd like us to investigate and include.

Simply email those to toni.clay@cosaction.com

Where are we? We are 4.3 million strong nationwide, and over 40,000 strong here in Tennessee. Here are the latest progress statistics. Look at our grassroots army growth!

Say hello to Ernie Schultz, our newest District Captain in HD-61. Ernie joined us for our Legislative Thank You Day preparation. His sleeves are rolled up, he's fired up, and he's ready to work to inform and grow our Tennessee team of grassroots patriots. If you're in Ernie's district, reach out to him with a warm welcome. Thanks, Ernie! It's great to have you on the team.

Clarkesville Gun Show and 50+ New Petition Signers

Members of our Tennessee team recently represented Convention of States at the Clarkesville Gun Show to inform, answer questions, and gather new COS supporters and petition signers. If you know of an event you'd recommend the team participate in, be sure to let us know. Events can be anything from community festivals, gun shows, rotary, veterans events, or anywhere we can have the ability to present the vision and mission of our COS movement.

Have an idea? Let's talk.
