#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media. Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday is a great way to kick off the charitable season.
We’re honored that Citizens for Self Governance - the parent organization of Convention of States - has been selected as one of the featured organizations, providing the opportunity for us to compete for their $15,000, $10,000, or $5,000 prizes. To participate, we need you to write an inspirational story about CSG. Here are some prompts:
What inspires you to give back by volunteering in our efforts? Did you, or someone you know, give time, donate money or goods, or share skills to have a meaningful impact? Is there a moment or an event that changed the way you think about generosity? Who is the most generous person you know, and how have they influenced you?
The stories with the most votes win. (MAKE SURE TO VOTE ON EACH OTHER STORIES)
Videos are preferred. You can upload a video or record one as you share your story. If you don’t have a video, use a photo. Make your story as short and compelling as possible. After you share your story through the below link, post it on Social Media. Encourage your friends to vote for and share your post.

Remember, the Giving Tuesday opportunity is a Citizens for Self-Governance project so your stories should focus on education and constitutional literacy on the COS Project as a project of CSG, not legislation, petitions, or urging your legislators to pass the COS resolution since those activities are strictly COS Action activities.
Your story should NOT:
- Mention petitions
- Talk about the COS application
- Discuss any other legislation
Instead, talk about what inspires you to educate others and serve in your communities.
