Bell-ringer news delivered to state capitol

Published in Blog on January 30, 2020 by Mark Kenneth White

Meeting for the third week, the Convention of States Hawaii team visited the capitol on Jan 29. Left to right: Jan Tillmann (DC Applicant), Emil Svrcina (DC), Matt Saterlee (Vol), Jack Van Osdol (Sptr), Donna Van Osdol (FUT), Rita Kama-Kimura (Sptr), Mark White (SD).

As a follow up to their historic visit a week earlier, the Convention of States Hawaii team gave out some key data to all state legislators on Wednesday, January 29.

Delivered to Hawaii lawmakers' offices was the first 2020 issue of The COSHI Courier--the team's local COS newsletter--showing the ranked order of all Hawaii House and Senate districts, based on the number of petition signers living there.

The newsletter's back page also displayed photos of the top five senators and top 10 representatives in the most supportive districts and indicated which legislators sponsored the COS application in 2019.

General Counsel for Convention of States, Robert Kelly provided a detailed interview as the lead story for the January/February 2020 issue.

Page 2 features an editorial by State Director illustrating how state sovereignty has faded over the years.

Jack Van Osdol offered his thoughts on the Robert Kelly Town Hall event held in early December last year.

Join the team at 1:15 p.m. every Wednesday through February at the Hawaii state capitol to visit your legislators' office!
