Just before Christmas on December 19-22, hundreds of young conservative activists gathered in Florida for the TPUSA Student Action Summit. These young conservatives want to take the fight to Washington and drain the swamp, but many asked themselves, “How?” A Convention of States gives them a way to turn their passion into tangible results. Here's what happened.
The event covered topics such as the mishandling of the COVID-19 pandemic by Washington, the new Republican party, and the future of America, among many other topics. Matt Gaetz of Florida, for example, declared with his trademark firebrand spirit that the old Bush family is being replaced with a new type of conservative. Gaetz described these new Republicans as having a backbone, standing for truly conservative principles, and standing against the endless wars of the Middle East.
The event was also attended by various leading members of the new conservative movement such as Convention of States endorsers Rand Paul and Charlie Kirk with a grand appearance by Vice President Mike Pence on the last day. The Vice President recapped all of the victories made by the Trump administration these past 4 years. Students cheered as these speakers served as a rallying cry for conservatives across the nation.
Coleton Cristiani was one such student who flew from Rohnert Park, California. His most important issue is that of "balancing the economic empowerment of individual citizens with fiscal responsibility." Cristiani believes the best speaker was Fox News host Tucker Carlson, who "gave an inspiring message of hope and optimism, empowering young conservatives to live their best lives." The event left him with a feeling that reinvigorated his political view and "with a sense of enthusiasm, and relentless optimism of the future of the conservative movement."
Ben Rogoff of New Jersey was also inspired by the event. He believes economic independence is our nation’s most important issue. His favorite speaker was Madison Cawthorn, who Rogoff said was an "inspiration to the new Republican party, and most importantly proves young conservative activists can turn their political beliefs into action." Rogoff states that the event left him feeling proud to call himself "a member of this new movement." That he has “made friendships who will last a lifetime, and I have faith for this new movement with its activists."

Unfortunately, many students like Rogoff and Cristiani want to stand up for liberty but don't know how to transform their voiced frustrations into tangible action. Through the grace of God, our Founders gave us a solution: Article V.
The young people who attended the TPUSA Summit are ready to bring the fight to Washington. They believe in true American conservatism and strongly oppose “neoconservatism” that demands higher spending, bigger government, and less freedom. These young activists are hungry for a real solution to federal overreach, and an Article V Convention of States can provide that solution. A Convention of States is called and controlled by the states and has the power to propose constitutional amendments that limit the power, scope, and jurisdiction of the federal government.
There are grassroots teams in all 50 states urging their state legislators to call the first-ever Convention of States. As people passionate about liberty and active in local and state politics, young conservative activists are in a prime position to tip the scales in favor of the Convention of States Resolution in state legislatures across the country.
If you’re ready to get in the fight (or know a young person who might be interested), the young conservatives of America are ready to fight for our American principles -- let’s help guide their passion to the solution that is Article V!
Send them this video and encourage them to get involved with the only nationwide grassroots movement capable of limiting big government -- for good.
