Volunteers for Convention of States Virginia assembled on March 9, 2019, for the latest Leadership Summit in Shenandoah for training.
District Captain Nancy Koenig reported afterwards, "Thank you so very much to all. I found the summit very helpful. It was well thought out. I always enjoy connecting with new and ‘old’ patriots."
Another purpose of the meeting was to transfer the baton of State Director from Chris Walker to Dennis Denton.
Chris Walker has enthusiastically served for several years as State Director. At his side has been Grassroots Coordinator Dennis Denton, who began as a District Captain.
"Thank you all for attending," said Chris. "Dennis is going to do a great job as State Director. I think we had a very productive summit. I am excited to see such great participation."
Current State Director Dennis proclaimed, "Leaders may change but our mission is unchanging. It is a privilege and an honor to be a part of this Virginia COS team, and I will be steadfast in achieving a Convention of the States to help put this country back on its proper constitutional path.
"Those before us have sacrificed much, including their blood and lives to protect and preserve our God given rights, our freedoms, and our liberty. We can at least do this in honor of their sacrifices. Our children, our grandchildren, and future generations of Americans deserve no less."
Meanwhile, Chris has changed his volunteer status from State Director to Legislative Liaison, where his energy will continue to pound the General Assembly. Furthermore, he will now be at Dennis' side.
The task of volunteer is more like a marathon than a sprint. Our vision is long-term. We are running a race to preserve the Constitution and to save America from the abyss of socialism.
To maintain the pace, we build teams that help one another to carry the load. Along the way we make friends.
Join us in preserving the Constitution by reining in the federal leviathan with a Convention of States.
Together we can preserve America for our children and grandchildren.
