It was standing room only on Saturday, July 27, at the town hall in Detroit Lakes.
People were truly engaged in learning more about Convention of States, and a great deal of time was spent on how to get involved. Minnesota State House Representative Steve Green attended, as well as another candidate for the Minnesota House of Representatives.
It is great to see state legislators showing interest and support, because we ultimately need to convince our state legislators to push for a vote on the COS resolution after it is introduced in a legislative session. Another positive result of the town hall is that 75 cards were written to state legislators!
These town halls are not only getting the word out, they are producing some crucial engagement and communication between representatives and those constituents who they represent. Many thanks goes out to all who work tirelessly in the background in order to make sure these town halls are a success--such as our Call Commandoes who make hundreds of calls prior to each event!
Minnesota is truly blessed to have a team of dedicated volunteers who spend their time and energy in getting the word out about a solution which is big enough to fix the problem of federal overreach, which currently threatens our own future and especially the future lives of our children.
Keep up the good work, Convention of States Minnesota!
