The Biden administration has been out of step with the American people since taking office in January, and a new Convention of States Action/Trafalgar poll proves that trend has continued into the fall.
According to the survey, a full 63% of all American voters believe the COVID pandemic is currently getting less serious in America. That includes 74.5% of Independent voters, 71.5% of Republicans, and 48.9% of Democrats.
Meanwhile, a plurality of voters also believe President Biden and government health officials like Dr. Fauci don’t want the COVID-19 restrictions and mandates to decrease as the actual threat diminishes. That includes 69.2% of Republicans, 51.2% of Independents, and 26.8% of Democrats.
Bottom line? Everyday Americans rightly believe that COVID mandates have less to do with the state of the pandemic and more to do with exerting greater and greater government control.
“Despite the fact that Big Media and Big Tech are working tirelessly to suppress the truth, this poll reveals that most Americans aren’t fooled in the least. They clearly see that the pandemic is on a downward trend, and they also understand that President Biden and Dr. Fauci have no intention of easing restrictions and mandates,” said Mark Meckler, President of Convention of States Action. “Americans working in airlines, hospitals, corporations and other sectors are actively resisting mandates because that’s what you do when you understand that a political agenda posing as science has nothing to do with science and everything to do with tyranny.”
Americans aren't stupid, as officials like Jen Psaki would have you believe. They know a power grab when they see one, and for most government officials, that's exactly what this pandemic has become.
That why millions of Americans have joined the Convention of States movement. An Article V Convention of States is called and controlled by the states and has the power to propose constitutional amendments. These amendments can limit federal power, spending, and terms of office, and put that power back where it belongs: with We the People.
