Our Government Lied; People Died

Published in Blog on June 21, 2021 by Shawn Fleetwood

It goes without saying that our federal government is untrustworthy.

Whether it's Congress passing multi-trillion dollar, pork-filled omnibus bills in the dead of night, or politicians making promises they never keep, the creatures lurking in the swamp of Washington, D.C. always find a way to defraud the American people.

But the latest revelation regarding our federal government (more specifically, the federal bureaucracy) goes beyond anything we've ever witnessed in American history.

Recently, an observational study published by medRxiv found the notorious antimalarial drug, hydroxychloroquine (HCQ), along with azithromycin (AZM), could increase coronavirus survival rate by over 100% if distributed at higher doses to ventilated patients with severe versions of the virus.

"By considering more factors and using new methods, we found that when increased doses of co-administered HCQ and AZM were associated with >100% increase in survival. Comparison of absolute with weight-adjusted cumulative doses proves administration ≥80 mg/kg of HCQ with > 1 gm AZM increases survival in IMV-requiring Covid patients by over 100%," the study read.

The study ultimately concluded that "when the cumulative doses of two
drugs, HCQ and AZM, were above a certain level, patients had a survival rate 2.9 times the other patients."

So, why does this matter?

Well, for nearly a year, the public health "experts" throughout our federal government have been doing everything they can to demonize the drug (once touted by President Trump) as ineffective in helping COVID-19 patients, even though mounting medical evidence showed otherwise.

As early as August 2020, numerous medical studies showed the promise HCQ offered those who had contracted the illness.

"There are now 53 studies that show positive results of hydroxychloroquine in COVID infections. There are 14 global studies that show neutral or negative results -- and 10 of them were of patients in very late stages of COVID-19, where no antiviral drug can be expected to have much effect. Of the remaining four studies, two come from the same University of Minnesota author. The other two are from the faulty Brazil paper, which should be retracted, and the fake Lancet paper, which was," wrote virologist Steven Hatfill.

Let me be clear by stating I am in no way any kind of medical doctor, nor do I claim to be one. The purpose of this article isn't to prescribe medications to Americans or say that HCQ is 100% a cure for COVID-19.

My intention in writing this article is to share with you the overwhelming medical evidence conducted by well-renowned medical doctors. Their research has shown this drug is not the boogieman our government made it out to be.

It's to demonstrate just how sinister and out of control our federal bureaucracy has become, as they willingly lied to the American people about this drug while thousands of hospitalized patients died alone without the presence of their loved ones.

How many lives could've been saved if we had given this drug a chance? And why did our medical bureaucracy smear this drug while promoting ineffective drugs like remdesivir?

I don't know if we'll ever get the answer to these questions, but I do know one thing: the only way to put this federal leviathan in check once and for all is through an Article V Convention of States.

By calling a Convention of States, we'd finally be given the opportunity to look these swamp creatures in the eye and say "you're fired."

Not only would we be able to shrink the size of the federal bureaucracy, but we'd also be given the power to ensure something like the tyranny displayed throughout the COVID-19 pandemic never happens again.

Petition your state legislator

Almost everyone knows that our federal government is on a dangerous course. The unsustainable debt combined with crushing regulations on states and businesses is a recipe for disaster.

What is less known is that the Founders gave state legislatures the power to act as a final check on abuses of power by Washington, DC. Article V of the U.S. Constitution authorizes the state legislatures to call a convention to proposing needed amendments to the Constitution. This process does not require the consent of the federal government in Washington DC.

I support Convention of States; a national movement to call a convention under Article V of the United States Constitution, restricted to proposing amendments that will impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit its power and jurisdiction, and impose term limits on its officials and members of Congress.

I want our state to be one of the necessary 34 states to pass a resolution calling for this kind of an Article V convention. You can find a copy of the model resolution and the Article V Pocket Guide (which explains the process and answers many questions) here: https://conventionofstates.com/handbook_pdf

I ask that you support Convention of States and consider becoming a co-sponsor. Please respond to my request by informing the national COS team of your position, or sending them any questions you may have:
