On Saturday, September 14, Fox & Friends co-host Pete Hegseth and Convention of States President Mark Meckler headlined a record-setting town hall presented by Convention of States New Jersey.
Over 180 people attended this special pre-Constitution Week event at the Dunellen Theater in Dunellen, New Jersey.
Susan Beckett-Jones, a COS New Jersey District Captain, said of the event, "Watching the marvelous duo of Mark Meckler and Pete Hegseth team up at the historic and homey Dunellen Theater, thoroughly energized our record-breaking audience with their presentations and Q&A session!"
Another District Captain, Bob Nordin, also shared his experience from the town hall by adding, "The great town of Dunellen fell pray to the loving hands of this organization’s volunteers. We invited the guests, set the table, and opened the doors for all to take part in a celebration of liberty. The theater [was] filled with an air of excitement and anticipation."
At the conclusion of the event, COS New Jersey volunteers were welcomed onto the stage to present Mark and Pete with special posters commemorating the event.
Mark then surprised COS NJ State Director Jonathan Viaud by presenting him with a t-shirt from the COS Leadership Summit. The shirt was signed by all of the speakers from the Summit, as well as all of the members of the NJ team that attended.
"Importantly, on the back of the shirt, are the signatures of your entire team, because they want you to know that they've always got your back," explained Mark. At a loss for words by the gesture, Jonathan simply told the crowd that the team was "awesome."
After the event, attendees were able to join members of the COS New Jersey team, Mark, and his wife Patty for a special lunch held at Zupko's Tavern, located right next to the theater.
"More one-on-one discussions and debates were enjoyed at Zupko's Tavern next door, reminiscent of the Sons of Liberty, who also gathered in a Tavern and took turns lifting beers, stirring spirits, and moving souls," shared Susan.
Summing up his feelings about this COS NJ family, Bob stated "There is nothing the COS NJ Volunteers can’t do. We thrive on every challenge, from a multitude of street fairs and festivals, to visits to the NJ State House. You can feel it when you’re in the company of these wonderful patriots. Every guest was treated with the kindness we give to one another, and they all expressed their gratefulness. It feels good when a plan comes together!"
There's no doubt that the COS New Jersey team has become a family, and continue to successfully pull plans together. There's no better time to become a member of this family, so consider signing up to become a Volunteer on the COS Take Action page.
