In a first-ever event for Hawaii's team, Convention of States Co-founder and President Mark Meckler was a special guest for over an hour on October 5 during the team's biweekly Monday night Zoom conference call.
Offering praise and inspiring comments about Hawaii’s unique political, economic, and cultural situation, Mark stayed up past midnight at his home in Texas giving his servant leadership perspective to an eager group of dedicated volunteers listening throughout the state.
Mark spoke definitively on several key perspectives throughout the call as the timestamps listed below illustrate:
8:10 Mark explained how he learned of Hawaii's unique set of issues. Because of the strength of character of our group, he holds great hope for our team.
12:35 Mark described heroism and true humility by illustrating the importance of each person’s individual behavior.
24:30 Mark shared that there is “pent up momentum for COS” in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. He learned a big lesson in West Virginia and says COS is “magic” in South Carolina.
31:35 Mark gave an emotional tribute to the late Dr. Tom Coburn and talked about life on the road without our senior statesman.
37:50 What about Facebook’s censorship issues? Mark gave his perspective on free speech in today's social media world.
53:30 Learn what makes America so unique in all of world history.
59:00 Listen to a discussion of the Jones Act and its effect on Hawaii. This blatant example of federal overreach should make every person in Hawaii angry.
1:09:15 Mark closed with a poignant reminder to “remember who you are...heroes in the American pantheon of heroes!"
