Midterm elections are here, and if you turn on the TV, you are hit with non-stop campaign ads. The sad part of it is they are almost all negative. You hear a lot of talk of blue and red waves, but you can’t see the color of the waves for the darkness of the storm.
I understand we need to know about serious flaws in the candidates we are trying to pick from, but that information is available if you do a simple search on the web. It seems the political candidates would be better served by explaining their policies and how they are better.
There is no doubt about the importance of this election, but then, all elections are important. This one seems to be trying to make a statement. Whatever side of the political line you are on, left or right, passion is high, and the division is definite.
With that said, I have found there is one thing almost everyone agrees on — the federal government is in our business in places they were not intended. It doesn’t matter if you are a liberal, conservative or someplace in between: This is the United States of America, and our Constitution limits the federal government and puts the States and We the People in charge. Somehow, we have lost that, but our Founders have our backs and gave us Article V of our United States Constitution to put things back in their proper order.
Go to ConventionOfStates.com to find out about a large grassroots movement going on all across these United States to put the federal government back into their Constitutional box.
Get out there and vote. Don’t be one of those people that think it doesn’t matter, and one vote isn’t going to make a difference: They all count.
