To citizens who frequent the supermarket in Pennsylvania, she is known as the “Lady with the Red, White, and Blue Hat.”
To us, she is one of the most dedicated and hardworking volunteers in our movement. Barbara Scheuer was first exposed to Convention of States when Mark Meckler was on Glenn Beck’s show in 2016.
From there, she was inspired “to do something.” So, she went door to door in her apartment complex and got 78 out of 80 tenants to sign the petition.
"This is a one-on-one movement," Barbara says. "All you have to do is come out of your shell, put a smile on your face, and talk to people.”
However, the apartment complex was not enough for Barbara. Now, she frequents the longest line at the grocery store, the doctor’s office, and the houses down her street, talking about COS, getting petition signers, and recruiting new volunteers.
Barbara believes her “generation, for the past 100 years, has let the current generation down. I’m working to make amends.”
She speaks of how this is a “divinely-inspired project” in which she may not benefit personally but knows her service will impact the youth of today and tomorrow.
COS has brought people together in her church and community.
"It doesn’t matter if you’re red, white, black, or blue,” Barbara says. COS is her “passion.”
Just 86 years young, she has passed out over 1,500 handmade, laminated call-to-action cards, organized COS meetings on the second Sunday of every month, recruited six District Captains, and toils to memorize Mark Meckler’s message at the beginning of the Citizen’s Pocket Guide.
Why? She wants to inspire those around her to fight for our nation. Barbara Scheuer is a devoted patriot who will battle for self-governance to her last breath.
