Kansas Legislature Fails to Join Neighbor States in Effort to Call Convention of States

HCR 5027, Convention of States, was debated on Tuesday, 3/8, passing to final action 78-42.

In final action Wednesday, a group of Republicans joined with the majority of Democrats to prevent the needed 84 votes for final approval. Here is where you can find out how your state representative voted and send a quick email related to that vote. Please take the 1 min to take action today.

As a reminder: Convention of States is an effort to call the first ever Article V Convention of States, and to bring the states together in a meeting proposing amendments to the U.S. Constitution centered around taking the time, money, and power away from politicians and bureaucrats in Washington, D.C.
