We've done it again in Hawaii!
The Convention of States Project's application is now officially filed in the Hawaii Senate! On Friday, March 11th, Senator Sam Slom along with seven co-sponsoring Senators, filed the COS application in the Senate seeking an amendment-proposing convention of the states to restore our Constitutional Republic.
The official Senate Resolution number is SR80, along with its identical Senate Concurrent Resolution SCR114.
Now with resolutions filed in 38 other states in 2015 and already passed in 6 states, SR80 sets the agenda of the meeting to consider amendments to, 1) impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, 2) limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government and,3) limit the terms of office for federal officials and for members of Congress.
This begins the process in the Senate! This is the 3rd of 4 emails in this series you'll receive asking for your help to reach out to state legislators. Please take a moment right now to contact the Senate members on the Judiciary and Labor Committee and ask them to support Convention of States Resolution SR27 by bringing it to a committee hearing!

As a resident of Hawaii I want you to know I strongly support the Convention of States effort to rein in the power of the federal government and return that power to the States. Since you are a member of the Senate Judiciary and Labor Committee, I request you give Senate Resolution #80 and Senate Concurrent Resolution #114 a hearing in the JDL Committee and vote to send these resolutions to the floor of the Senate for passage.
