Hawaii Senate files COS resolution!

Four dedicated legislators support Hawaii's 2020 Senate Concurrent Resolution 89. 

After weeks of visits by the Convention of States Hawaii team, several intrepid Senators again offer their support for an Article V "convention for proposing amendments" to limit the scope, power, and jurisdiction of the federal government.

SCR89 was courageously filed March 5 in Hawaii's Senate by four stalwart sponsors, each with a history of supporting Article V efforts in Hawaii.

 Senator Mike Gabbard
Senate District 20: Kapolei, Makakilo, and portions of ‘Ewa, Kalaeloa, and Waipahu.  Introducer and Prime Sponsor for 2020.  Co-sponsored Convention of States resolution in 2016 and introduced in 2017, 2018, and 2019.

 Senator Breene Harimoto
Senate District 16: Pearl City, Momilani, Pearlridge, ‘Aiea, Royal Summit, ‘Aiea Heights, Newtown, Waimalu, Halawa, Pearl Harbor.  A 2020 Introducer.  Co-sponsored Convention of States resolution in 2016 and introduced in 2017, 2018, and 2019.  

 Senator Lorraine Inouye
Senate District 4: Hilo, Hāmākua, Kohala, Waimea, Waikoloa, Kona.  A 2020 Co-sponsor.  Co-sponsored Convention of States resolution in 2016, 2017, and introduced in 2018.

 Senator Gil Riviere
Senate District 23: Kunia, Schofield Barracks, Mokulē‘ia, Waialua, Hale‘iwa, Kawailoa, Waimea, Pūpūkea, Kawela, Kahuku, La‘ie, Hau‘ula, Punalu‘u, Ka‘a‘awa, Kualoa, Waikane, Waiahole, Kāne‘ohe.  A 2020 Co-sponsor.  Introduced Convention of States resolution in 2018 and co-sponsored in 2017 and 2019.
