The Convention of States Article V resolution (HJR 81) has been filed with the Kentucky General Assembly for the 2018 legislative session!

The Convention of States resolution has support from many of our state legislators. However, to be successful we need grassroots support from each of you to contact your legislator to ask them to support our Convention of States resolution HJR 81.

Letters, emails, phone calls will all make a positive impression on your legislator. Follow the link below to find the contact information for your State Senator and Representative in the Kentucky House.

The Convention of States resolution is sponsored by Regina Huff. The resolution is being assigned to the Elections, Constitutional Amendments and Intergovernmental Affairs Committee.

After a positive result in committee, the resolution would then go to the House floor for debate and a vote. After HJR 81 is passed in the full House, the process would continue in the Senate. The Senate committee that will hear our resolution is the State and Local Government Committee.

Please make every attempt to join us in Frankfort for our Capital Day surge on February 7 in the Capital Annex to be seen and to talk with the legislators. Also come to the hearings at the capitol which may be called on short notice.

The more people we have at the Capital Day surge and at the hearing the more likely it will be to get a good a legislative outcome. Be ready for an email or phone call for the details. Follow the links below to see which Kentucky legislators sit on these committees.
