Back To The Capitol
Just a week after their big rally on opening day, the Convention of States Hawaii team once again met at the state capitol to visit with each legislative office and distribute Convention of States materials.
Surge Wednesdays Begin
The Hawaii team began their six remaining "Surge Wednesdays" by first meeting at the ground floor at 1pm on Wednesday, January 23rd. After receiving their handout materials from State Director Mark White, they split into four smaller groups to attend to each of the 76 legislative offices at the Capitol.
Key Handouts Distributed
Two vitally important handouts were given to each lawmaker's office: The Citizen's Pocket Guide and a one-question survey card requesting the elected official identify his or her position regarding their support for a Convention of States resolution in the Aloha State.
The Pocket Guide provides valuable information to legislators while the back side of the Hawaii team's postcard-sized survey card (pictured right) tells the legislator their non-response to the survey indicates opposition to a Convention of States.
Join the Team
Every Wednesday at 1pm through the month of February the COS Hawaii team will meet at the Capitol to distribute information to legislators about Convention of States and the concurrent House and Senate resolutions being filed this year in Hawaii.
