On Saturday, May 28, Convention of States HI State Director Mark White spoke to attendees on day two at the Maui County Republican Party – Paniolo Memorial Day weekend event in Paia, Maui.

This successful event was on the heels of the Hawai’i Republican Party State Convention, just two weeks earlier, that approved a new ‘Government’ plank more strongly supporting Convention of States.
At the COSHI display table, SGC Brett Kulbis and Maui DC Lori Alana engaged with attendees and was able to garner a few new petition signers and encouraged others to check us out online. One petition signer who was hesitant initially ended up signing our petition immediately after hearing Mark speak.
Maui County GOP Chair and COSHI SGC Team Leader for Maui Tamara McKay said: “Many attendees thanked her for having Mark speak and giving them hope that there is a solution to save our state and country.”
Maui DC Lori Alana stated: “It is inspiring to see community volunteers stepping up to the plate to try to maintain some kind of balance in our extremely BLUE state especially when so many are concerned about the still ongoing mandatory student masking, mandatory testing for certain employees, mandatory vaxxing, proposed microchip ID cards, and the continued erosion or attempted erosion of our Constitutional Rights such as freedom of speech, the right to gather and protest without retribution, and the right to bear arms...to name just a few.”
