Day 5: Our Resolution Is Coming, Our Resolution Is Coming!
On Wednesday, February 22nd, the COSHI team returned for their Capitol Surge campaign. The team met at the State Capitol for the fifth of six Wednesdays to educate and persuade Hawai'i Legislators and their staff to support our 2023 Convention of States resolution.
Pictured in the center is Qanuk Nanuk, the Polar Bear puppet. On the left side (L-R) Mark White, Ijeva Bambridge, Sheryl Bieler, Jim Ray & Chanara Richmond. On the right side (L-R from center) Rita Kama-Kimura, Jack Van Osdol, Alberta Lono, Brett Kulbis, and Donna Van Osdol.
Don't laugh, but Qanuk Nanuk was a polar bear puppet wandering away from her Arctic home, searching for a cooler climate because of melting sea ice! Remember Mark Meckler's Battle Cry on mockery? They tried to tell us the puppet was about endangered species, however we weren't buying it. We knew what they were promoting. This group knew nothing about where we stand on the climate cult so it was comical they were willing to take this photo!
While our team visited the legislative offices, Mark and Brett visited potential co-sponsor staffs to give them a heads up that our sponsors will be reaching out to them soon to add them to the resolution before filing.
