Surge ‘Daaaay!' #4

Published in Blog on February 16, 2023 by Brett Kulbis

Day 4:  What day is it?  It's COS Daaaay!

On Wednesday, February 15th, the COSHI team returned for their Capitol Surge campaign. The team met at the State Capitol for the fourth of six Wednesdays to educate and persuade Hawai'i Legislators and their staff to support our 2023 Convention of States resolution.

Staffers know what day it is when COSHI volunteers come knocking! Some look forward to our visit because we are happy warriors. We bring the COSHI infectious "Aloha Spirit."

L-R: Sheryl, Donna, Jack, & Rita share stories of the day's visit.

Wednesday's two key handouts: "Five Myths About An Article V Convention" by Rita Peters and the "Washington is Broken” palm card.

We are close to filing in both chambers and time is ticking, deadline is March 10th. While the team visited their assigned legislative offices, SD Mark White and SGC Brett Kulbis visited Senator Wakai's office (our Senate sponsor) to get an update. We expect Senator Wakai to file our resolution in the next couple of weeks.

Join us at the Capitol for our next surge day Wednesday, February 22nd at Noon!

You too can be part of the COS Hawai'i ‘ohana’ by volunteering here, and join them at their next petition signing event the Hawai'i Historic Arms Great Guns gun show on the third weekend in March!
