Day 3: Steady On!
On Wednesday February 8th, the COSHI team returned for their Capitol Surge campaign. The team met at the State Capitol for the third of six Wednesdays to educate and persuade Hawai'i Legislators and their staff to support our 2023 Convention of States resolution.
Two new members joined the COSHI Team! From left to right: Jack Van Osdol, Lori Nip (new), Mark White, Donna Van Osdol, Brett Kulbis, Alberta Lono, Chanara Richmond, James Ray, Rita Kama-Kimura, and Corrina Gowan (new).
Starting a little earlier at Noon, team members met with only staff members as legislators in both chambers were conducting robust business in their respective floor sessions. As in previous years, our persistence was rewarded by office staff members recognizing us, and often saying with a big smile, "It must be Wednesday!"
Rita & Lori (L), and Jim (R) explain the latest handouts.
First timer Corrina Gowan (L) shows off our COSHI Courier while Alberta Lono (R) greets a new office manager.
Building their confidence with each visit, team members visited all House and Senate offices dropping off two key handouts: The latest issue of The COSHI Courier (below) and the popular "Reclaim Self-Governance" card. Click here to receive a downloaded version of this issue of The COSHI Courier.
Newly elected Representative Diamond Garcia was featured in our first issue of 2023.
Convention of States support is shown within each House and Senate district in our COSHI “Heat” Map.
Some of our most recent endorsers reflect growing support for COS.
Join us at the Capitol for our next surge day Wednesday February 15th at Noon!
You too can be part of the COS Hawai'i ‘ohana’ by volunteering here, and join them at their next petition signing event the Hawai'i Historic Arms Great Guns gun show on the third weekend in March!
