New Jersey patriots share the Convention of States message with local citizen groups

Published in Blog on December 18, 2018 by Jonathan Viaud

Throughout the Fall, Convention of States New Jersey District Captain Gary Brenner made presentations in Princenton, Jefferson Township, and Pompton Plains to a diverse group of engaged New Jersey citizens.

Starting in Princeton, Gary met with members of Princeton University's Turning Point USA chapter. The students were eager to learn more about COS, and Gary took time to answer questions after his presentation.

State Videographer Don MacLeay joined Gary to film the presentation, which can be viewed in its entirety here.

Next, Gary was welcomed to present at the Cedar Crest Republican Club in Pompton Plains. Again, SV Don MacLeay was able to capture part of the presentation.

"I find it exhilarating to talk in-person with a group of people about the Convention of States Project, and know that they’ve just learned about something so vitally important to our nation," said Gary.

Finally, Gary joined COS NJ Follow-Up Team member Bob Nordin at a Jefferson Township Republican Club meeting. Although they were only able to speak briefly, the COS NJ volunteers succeeded in acquiring 11 signed petitions from club members, including the club chairman Jayson Kohut, who also signed up to be a volunteer for COS!

Looking back on his speaking engagements, Gary stated, "These were very rewarding and enjoyable experiences. I look forward to doing many more such talks, and I highly recommend to those [volunteers] who haven’t done any yet to give it a try."

The Convention of States New Jersey team will continue to spread the COS message to any and all groups that welcome us, so be on the lookout for more upcoming speaking engagements in your area!
