With the best looking truck in the 76th annual Kailua Independence Day Parade on Friday, July 4th 2025, 13 Convention of States team members again participated in the event on the island of Oahu. And this year’s COSHI float was a stunning success!

Our 2025 COSHI parade participants (left to right): Mark White, Jolanda Kahele, Bob Fitzgibbons, Lei Morolt, Chanara Richmond, Natasha Schmall, Cathy and Jason Horstman, Galina Fitzgibbons, Ginger Goodwin, Teri Savaiinaea, Lori and Lester Nip.
Thanks to Chanara Richmond’s refined decoration design and to Jason and Cathy Horstman for the use of their truck, this year’s Convention of States Hawai'i float was the best ever in recent years. Many spectators and children along the parade route we stunned to see the glittering garland and helium balloons dancing in the sunlight as patriotic marches emanated for the team’s magical vehicle.

Teri (left), Jason (2nd from left) and Mark (3rd from left) helped decorate just before the parade. Proof of this year’s great job is show (right) with our truck underway.
The 76th Independence Day Parade, a beloved tradition in Kailua, featured vibrant floats, music, and organizations from across the Island of Oahu, with COS Hawai'i demonstrating its commitment to community engagement on this festive occasion.
