The Spring 2016 session of the Illinois 99th General Assembly opens this month with the Convention of States Project's resolution, HJR61, already assigned to the House Rules Committee!
The resolution was filed with the bi-partisan support of Representatives Bob Pritchard and Linda Chapa LaVia. "Our resolution is getting a great deal of traction among the Democrat majority in Springfield due to its potential to help address Illinois' budget crisis," reports Vickie Deppe, Legislative Liaison.
