Citizen Activist Day set for January 11

Published in Blog on December 14, 2018 by Laurie Wheeler

Join us on January 11 at the Richmond capitol to urge Virginia’s legislators to vote 'Yes' to call a Convention of States to rein in the federal leviathan.

9:00am

  • Meet in the warmth of Meriweather's Market which has warm beverages and foods available for purchase. (Located on the 3rd floor of the SunTrust Building.)
  • From there we will form groups to meet with our state legislators, informing them of their role in supporting an Article V Convention of States.

12:00pm: Break for lunch at Meriweather's Market

1:30pm: Joe Thomas, recipient of Convention of States'  Benjamin Franklin Award will speak at the Bell Tower. Thomas distinguished himself through his excellent articulation of the timely need for state legislators to call a Convention of States to restore limited government to Washington, D.C.

Be sure to bring family and friends. If you are a home schooler this is a wonderful opportunity for your students to earn government credit.

A plethora of information on parking, directions, maps, etc. can be found here.
