The Grassroots Army in Missouri is not just tasked with supporting an Article V Convention. Because we are also American citizens we are responsible for the condition and direction of our country, and our government is supposed to answer to us.
All politics is indeed local and one way you can influence the direction of our future is by getting to know the candidates and helping your choice to get elected. Here are some tips and tools to help you get started:
Keep in mind that the people serving in Congress started off in local politics. By developing relationships with the people who wish to serve in an elected position you can influence the future in a unique way.

How Do I Research Candidates?
- Get to know the where the registered parties stand on issues:.
- Check out websites which track candidates and elected officials:

- Attend local party meetings:
- Refer to the Blue Book link above to find the meetings in your area.
- Sign up for the emails from the local groups in your area so that you will know when they have a candidate scheduled to speak.
- Follow the candidates on social media.
- Look for their websites. Please note that websites are often not up and running as soon as a candidate files to be on the ballot.
What are the rules for helping candidates as a Convention of States grassroots supporter or volunteer?
- You CAN be involved in a campaign as a private citizen.
- Do not wear *COSA logoed apparel when personally campaigning for a candidate.
- Do not distribute COSA material when campaigning for a candidate. It is also suggested that you clear it with the candidate if you plan to distribute information for another organization,
