Brett's Blog Archive - October 4, 2020: America's history: what has public education left out of the curriculum?

Published in Blog on October 08, 2020 by Brett Sterley, State Director, Convention of States Missouri

What has public education left out of the curriculum? Probably quite a bit in the last 40 to 50 years!

How about an opportunity to take a refresher course on the U.S. Constitution which is geared towards the average American rather, than law school students? Don’t need it, you say?

  • Do you know the historical significance of Carpenters’ Hall?
  • Do you know how "under God" came to be part of the Pledge of Allegiance?
  • Do you know which of the amendments considered part of the Bill of Rights was also known as the "first law of nature?"

You went straight to Google, didn’t you? That is just the tip of the iceberg! Our history is full of ideas, plans, plots, and courageous people as well as dark times and nefarious people.

Patriot Academy is teaming up with the Convention of States to offer a second session of the six-week Constitution Alive! course, free of charge. The first session is wrapping up this week and we had over 2,000 people sign up through the Convention of States. Let’s aim for 5,000. The second session starts on Monday, October 12, so sign up soon.

Tell your friends and family about this amazing opportunity. If they have not signed the petition or visited our website, please ask them to do so at www.conventionofstates.com.

Vote with your remote and skip the football. Learn about our history and consider becoming a Constitution Coach. Sign up for the Constitution Alive! course to learn to reach, teach and activate your family, friends, and neighbors.

For Liberty,

Brett
