Arizona Volunteer Leadership Position Available

Now is the time for you to affect change, to make a difference by joining in the effort to spread the word, and help the state team build an army of informed and engaged, self-governing activists--and maybe even to spice up your resumé for future pursuits!

As part of that ongoing effort to develop leaders and foster personal advancement, Convention of States Arizona is taking applications from those wishing to fill the State Communications Coordinator position.

An applicant must be a COS supporter who has signed the Convention of States petition and must indicate that they are interested in a Volunteer position on the COS Arizona team.

SCOPE
Develop and maintain an energetic, compelling, and efficient state communications team.

ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS
• Complete SCC Training Program
• Create, moderate, and guide messaging on social media, plus local, state, and national news outlets
• Contribute to regular weekly training webinars

TOOLS
• Digital and paper-based means of mass communication
• Slack
• Facebook
• Email

PRINCIPAL CONTACTS
• Arizona State Director
• Nationwide SCC team members
• Local Content Writers and Videographers

ESSENTIAL SKILLS
• Command of the English language
• Journalistic ethics
• Organizational skills
• Ability to delegate
• Conflict resolution
• Willingness to reward volunteerism
• Ability to set goals, plan actions, and achieve results.
